Descriptions:  Alyson Noël's bestselling Immortals series has been hailed as "addictive," "beautiful," "haunting," and "mesmerizing." In Blue Moon, Ever has a chance to bring her family back from the dead - but only if she's willing to sacrifice the guy she loves more than life itself.

Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him. As Ever's powers are increasing, Damen's begin to fade after he is stricken by a mysterious illness that threatens his memory, his identity, his life.

Desperate to save him, Ever travels to the mystical dimension of Summerland, where she uncovers not only the secrets of Damen's past - the brutal, tortured history he hoped to keep hidden - but also an ancient text revealing the workings of time. With the approaching blue moon heralding her only window for travel, Ever is forced to decide between turning back the clock and saving her family from the accident that claimed them - or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows weaker each day....

I was servery disappointed in this book. Honestly I didn't particularly like it all that much. I wanted to slap Ever about a million times.

There's a new kid in school, Roman. And it can't be coincidence that it seems that all of a sudden that Damen seems to be getting weak. Ever takes an immediate disliking to Roman, sensing that something isn't right about him. Even if Damen doesn't. But the night that Ever and Damen are suppose to finally get intimate, Damen runs off and remains missing the whole weekend. When he finally resurfaces on Monday, it's almost like he's a completely different person. For one, he has an aura and seems human. Then he can't even remember that he's in a relationship with Ever, and even calls her a stalker. Things gets weirder when Miles and Haven start hanging out with the cool kids.

Turning to Sumerland for answers, Ever finds how to not only save Damen, but to go back in time to her family and save them from the accident. In the alternative universe where her family is alive, and she doesn't remember Damen, she feels like something isn't right. Coming home from camping everything freezes and her sister tells her that she doesn't belong here. She's meant to live through the accident, and Ever is return back in "present time".

I really wished she would of stayed. I think it would of took an interesting turn. And would of loved to see her "meeting" Damen through her old life. Now she has to choose to trust Roman or the creepy twins she met in Summerland to save Damen. This is when I just wanted to slap Ever. I even knew she was making the wrong decision. And that decision is going to change her and Damen relationship forever.

I'll read the next book just to see how the series goes, and because I don't like to abandon series. But so far I'm not impress.

April's review of "Evermore" by Alyson Noel

Evermore (The Immortals #1) by Alyson Noel
Publication Date: February 3, 2009
Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin
Number of Pages: 301
Format: Paperback
Add to Goodreads
Description:  The first book in Alyson Noël's extraordinary new Immortals seris. Enter an enchanting new world, where true love never dies...

After a horrible accident claims the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom can see people's auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone's entire life story by touching them. Going out of her way to avoid human contact to suppress her abilities, she has been branded a freak at her new high school — but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste.

Damen is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy. He's the only one who can silence the noise and random energy in her head - wieling a magis so intense, it's as though he can peer straight into her soul. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she's left with more questions than answers. And she has no idea just who he really is - or what he is. The only thing she knows to be true is that she's falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.

Even a day after finishing the book, I'm not exactly sure how I completely feel about the book. Even though it was a quick read, I couldn't put it down anxious to see how everything is turning out. But I felt like the ending was just...I'm not sure of the word. But if I didn't know it was a series I would of thought it was a stand a lone book.

Meet Ever. Blonde hair, blue eyes, cheerleader, and popular. But that was the old Ever. A car accident had claimed her whole family, except for her. She got to lived while they all died. Now not only does Ever see everyone's auras and can hear their thoughts, one touch from a person and she knows their life story.

I liked Ever, but I didn't love her. She did annoyed me at some points in the story. She could of easily take care of Stacia and Honor, but she didn't. And what is with all the odd names in the book? The only friends she has are Haven and Miles. I loved Miles. I think he was one of my favorite characters. Haven kind of annoyed me. Even though Ever consider her her best friend, I got the feeling they were more of frienemies than actual friends.

And you can't have a YA romance story without someone wanting to stand in the way. Enter Damen's psycho ex, or well technically his wife. I was a little disappointed towards the end. I wanted to know more about Damen and Drina past. And more about Ever's past lives. But Damen refuse to let Ever get away from her this time.

I was stuck on how to rate this book. The end was kind of dragging on a little bit for me. And I thought we were get more information on The Immortals. But I really did like the book. And curious what the others have in store.

Jen's review of "Whisper" by Alyson Noel

Whisper (Riley Bloom #4) by Alyson Noel
Publication date: May 2012
Publisher: Macmillan
Number of pages: 194
Format: Paperback
Description: This time, Riley might really have bitten off more than she’s ready for. After practically begging the Council for a more challenging Soul Catch, she is assigned an actual Roman gladiator—Theocoles, the Pillar of Doom. How is Riley, a skinny twelve-year-old, supposed to get through to him? Then she meets the beautiful Messalina, who convinces her that her only chance is to become part of this world. To accomplish this, Messalina helps Riley through a dramatic, mystical makeover, transforming her into the beautiful and mature teen she’s always wanted to be. Finally, Riley can experience her first boyfriend and her first kiss. With a dream this enchanting, will she ever want to leave?

First off, I would like to thank Pan Macmillan for giving me the chance to review this book in exchange for a honest review.
In what I believe is the final book of the series, Riley Bloom has always wanted to have a challenging Soul Catch, she soon gets that very chance.
After been given her assignment and being told that she has to get the attention of and bring over the soul of a man -- gladiator who has been stuck in the same time for possibly thousands of years, in the same place.

After catching the attention of another girl in the arena, Messalina, who helps Riley transforms from a 12-year old girl into someone older who would fit in with their time.
But in doing so, this young girl gives something to Riley that she never thought she would get. A magical makeover which makes her even more beautiful and older than she really is. Stuck at 12? I don't think so.

While Riley tries to convince her assignment, Theocoles to cross over. That he isn't in the time that he thinks he is, but nothing seems to work. It's as if he can't hear her and only sees and hears what he wants to hear and see.
After Riley meets a new boy and gets her very first kiss, she'll start to think that maybe she doesn't have to go back. What is back there that isn't here? She has friends and a boy who actually likes her. She isn't that little 12 yr old girl anymore. She fits in here.
But she then soon discovers that not everything is as it seems, and maybe she is being played as a fool.

There are betrayals, new discoveries and interesting developments in this installment to the life of Riley Bloom.
It's probably the best book in this series. Riley will get everything she wants and more by the time you reach the final page of this book.

I admit, I kinda always wanted Riley to end up with Bodie eventually, as I have always liked their friendship and thought there was more do it that he wasn't saying.
But I won't say what does happen, but I think there was a definite breakthrough in terms of their relationship.
