I admit I didn't remember exactly what happened at the end of the previous book, but soon enough the information is basically given to you and it then it all came back to me.
Thane *drools* is such a gorgeous son of a beast. He doesn't apologise for nothing. You take him as he is and nothing less. He has tastes for strange things, which not everyone would go for, and if you do, don't expect anything more to come from the liasion.

Elin Vale is half Phoenix and prisoner in the same place that holds Thane captive. When he saves the young prisoner and takes her up into the skies under his protection, he has no idea how much affect she'll have on him from that point forward.
Elin has as much of a dark past that Thane does. Not only has she lost her entire family, when she finds kindness and some sort of purpose up in the skies, Elin just might discover this was where she was always meant to be.

The passion between them was so gloriously hot. Heart-pumping sexy especially a certain scene that involves a bath tub *cough*

This is my favourite book in the series thus far, and I certainly hope this is not the last. Not only was the romance was top notch, but it had mentions of the lords and awesome interactions between Thane and his best friends, who desperately need a book of their own *hint*

It's not often you can find originality in a YA paranormal series. I knew by the synopsis that this book sounded interesting, and I couldn't wait to see how it separated itself from everything else out there.
I was pleasantly surprised. While it could be a little predictable, but I liked that it had it's own original story. I really liked the characters, Tessa in particular and the things they went through.

After Tessa was 'attacked' after meeting a sexy new guy, she doesn't think very much about the scratches she pertained, not until later when her body starts to go through some changes. Ones that are very painful. She has no idea what is happening to her, but her parents do, and there is only one answer.
After her dad's boss/friend recognizes the signs and knows he did this, he takes Tessa in to his school to be able to amongst her own kind. It's the only thing possible to do before she can be around others without hurting them. Yes --- Tessa is being changed into a werewolf. It's not something she wanted, but it is done and she can only accept it and make the best out of the situation.

I didn't like Dastien at first, but the more we saw of him, and the consequences of one moment, I think you can understand him a bit.  I ended up adoring his relationship with Tessa. It's not an easy one, but the wait for them to get to the right space was glorious to read about. They really were perfect for one another. Sure, things didn't start as well, and they didn't start off on the right foot, but I felt he made up for his past descretions. Sometimes you just can't fight fate. Things happen for a reason, and there is a reason his heart chose her.

The other characters were fun and interesting. I look forward to see where the author goes with this series. I will be looking forward to the next book, and see how Tessa is handling her wolf, friends and her relationship.

A real fun, interesting take on the were genre. If you are a fan, then this book is definitely for you. It's not to be missed.

This book was interesting. Different from what I thought,but enjoyable definitely.
We're introduced to Myla, who is half demon and half human, and she fights demons in Purgatory arena certain souls have chosen this form of combat in attempting to gain entry into Heaven or Hell. When the demons start acting more strange than usual, Myla starts to suspect there is something very bad about to happen.

Myla was an interesting character. She is definitely strong and badass, as you would have to be to fighting demons. But since she has a human side she has very realistic emotions as well. There was some witty lines where you won't be able to stop smiling or laughing. She has a charm that is very likeable.
The world building is great. I feel there is so much more we haven't seen yet, which might be revealed in the following books. This story doesn't just deal with demons or angels, but other species which was fun to see. I feel there is so much potential with this that anything is possible.

There are some great characters, from Myla's friends, to a new love interest.  The romance wasn't overdone or one that takes over the plot, but more like on the side, which was nice that it doesn't overpower the main things going on. But it's also a work in progress.

Over all, this is a great action-packed, strong debut. I look forward to see where Bauer takes the story next.

There is nothing that Katie McGarry cannot do. I don't say this about many YA contemporary authors, mainly because I am very hesitant when it comes to this genre. Not every author can pull off an amazing story that sucks me in every time. Katie can do that. Every time.
She is definitely on my Must-read list. I have all the faith in the world when it comes to her and to this series. When I got the opportunity to review this title from Harlequin Australia, I could not pass up the chance to score an early copy and discover Isaiah's story. I badly wanted him to have happiness after the stuff he had been through with Beth, which did not end very nice at all.

 When things pick up, Isaiah is determined to find a way to gather some money for the place he and Noah live in, otherwise things are about to go to hell. He'll have to go back to Beth's aunt's and Noah will live in the dorms on campus. He'll do anything not to go back there, not since Beth...
He only sees one option. To race again, but when he makes a deal he can't get out of, he is determined to make the best of it, until a girl turns up at the race and he makes a deal to protect her.
Isaiah has six weeks to come up with what is needed, otherwise, there will be hell to pay.. and he'll refuse to let anything come to this girl.

Rachel goes to the best school, comes from a wealthy family and has to put up appearances for her family. She tries to be the best daughter she can be, but there is only so much she can fake. This is why she loves speed and racing her car. It takes her away from life, to a place where she can be who she wants to be.
But the moment she agrees to race in a street race, everything changes. Not only does she owes a debt to the owner of the race, but a rough around the edges guy named Isaiah has taken the debt on for himself, and together they will have to try raise the money before the deadline.  But what happens in six weeks can change their lives forever...

I have to say ---  I loved Noah's book.  I really liked Beth and Ryan's, but.. MY GOD.  This book? My favourite, no doubt about it.  I have always adored Isaiah. I wanted him to find love and happiness. I wanted him to take control over his life and find some resolution. He find the things he wants most in life.  THIS BOOK ...  has it all.  Not only is his relationship with Rachel just beautiful. But he is so flawed, so vulnerable and takes things on himself. He has so much inside of him that just makes you want to go and hug him.
He and Rachel are just made for one another.  They have so much in common, minus the part about their backgrounds and pasts. But they are both troubled, damaged in some way or another. They both love cars and racing. And other things.
They are like two peices of a puzzle slowly connecting into place. Two halves of a whole finally coming together where they belong.

We meet some newcomers who, some I adored, like Rachel's twin, Ethan and West. Then she has other brothers who are a bit older, but were understandable and I liked by the end.
Her brothers have this protectiveness over her that was kind of adorable. Nothing I wouldn't expect from older brothers for their younger sister, especially when boys are involved. Along with some friends of Isaiah's, this was a page-turner from the very first page.
Bring on the next installment. I will be so there.

The Iron Traitor is one of those books where you you have a feeling where it's gonna end, especially given a preview we were given in the Iron Prophecy, so that must come back at some point. It was all a matter of when exactly, and which finally gets addressed in this installment.

In the followup to The Lost Prince, we follow Ethan and Kierran's journey into their personal developments. For Ethan, he has some trouble when Kenzie's father discovers the two of them are dating and he does not approve. Not to mention given her condition and how she disappears at random without much of an explanation. What could she tell him? That she has been to the NeverNever? Yeah, that would go over well, right?
With Kierran, he is on a different kind of adventure, as he tries to find a way to free the girl he loves from possibly fading from existence, which gets stronger after each passing day.

Soon enough, the two boys find their lives entwining once again, and the outcome may not be what either of them expected nor want.
This was not the most exciting of installments, but it was enjoyable all the same. The end though? I fell flat on my face. One of the biggest cliffhangers in this entire series (and that includes Meghan's series) and I can't even see how it's gonna go on from here on out. One hell of a way to end a book, Julie.

I always enjoy the friendship between the boys, even if it's not the easiest one. And then we have the romantic aspects to the series. I really adored Kenzie. I feel she is coming into her own after each book I read, and the relationship she and Ethan have just warms my heart.
But it's Kierran's relationship that is the most tragic. That is the one that most resembles the relationship that was between Meghan and Ash in the previous books. Maybe it's the whole forbidden thing that makes it so tragic because you can't see how these two people could be together even though it's the only thing they want in the world.

If there was words that existed to describe the length of my love for this book I would use them, but since there isn't, I will just say one thing: Holy. Damn. Amazingballs.
This is no surprise to those that have read it. Rick Yancey's The Fifth Wave has got to be one of the, hands-down best books I have read in years.
This was one of those highly anticipated books which everyone kept talking about wanting to read or have read. It definitely lived up to the hype and expectation.

The well-thoughtout characters to the devastating yet fascinating world building Yancey has created, there is simply nothing not to love about this book.
It may be the first in a new series but it might as well have been half way through, because the story was so thorough and planned out, I could not praise it enough.

Our main characters consist of female protagonist, Cassie; Evan and Ben. The book is also split up into sections and alternates POVs.
We're introduced how the world came to be how it is portrayed today. What happened to make it that way and how it hasn't stopped, just in a different stage. Cassie finds herself alone and fighting through life after the kidnapping of her brother. She soon meets mysterious and alluring Evan, who is someone she isn't sure she can trust. In a word such as this... I can't say I blame her. She'll do anything she can to find and locate her brother, Sammy, but she might have to trust Evan somewhat if he is her key in getting back the only family she has left.

This is a beautifully written story. It's tragic. Devastating and emotional as our characters slowly find the answers they are looking more... but will they find out more than they bargained for?
We're introduced to what exactly what the 5th Wave is, which happens to be the next stage of the elimination process of mankind, and it just may be the worst one yet.

There is a slow romance burning. It's not a main factor, but it is more like an ember slowly burning throughout the book, which will burn into the second book --- going by the ending, that is.

I absolutely loved Cassie. She is a lone ranger. A fighter. After all she has been through, I can understand why. Her brother is the only one she has and she takes it upon herself to do everything she can to look after him. Because if she doesn't, who will?
Evan I also loved from the beginning too. He was mysterious with secrets lurking in the shadows. There was something about him that appeared odd and suspicious... and just when you discover what he is hiding.... may shock you to the very core.

I absolutely anticipate the next book. Can August 2014 hurry up please? How do these publishers expect us to wait over a year? I just do not approve. Not at all.

The Girl with the Iron Touch is a thrilling, fascinating and addicting read. The story Kady Cross has created has enticed me from the very beginning. The beautiful world-building, historical setting and perfectly-matched characters only just adds to this historical steampunk series that will draw a single reader based on that fact alone.

In the third book in the gorgeous crafted world, we find our characters as they deal with individual issues and situations.
Finley has her hands full with her feelings for Griffin and for them to finally understand what is it between them. We also have the return of Jack Dandy, who comes and makes a difficult situation more complicated, but Finley will soon enough discover she had made her decision long ago but never realized it until now.
The sort of- triangle comes to a close as Finley does choose between the two men in her life.
There was so much progress for these two in this book. The moment they met in Book 1, I knew they were my OTP -- only they had to realize it.  During the course of this book, both Griffin and Finley finally come to that place where they are ready to be able to accept their feelings for one another, and I say that it's about time. 

This novel also deals with the relationship between Sam and Emily. These two have always felt something so strong for one another, but good luck in trying to get them to admit that.  But when Emily suddenly goes missing --- this may be the thing that will have Sam fight for her once and for all, once he rescues her, that is.

Kady Cross has written yet another beautiful addition to this series, and while all of our beloved characters seem to have found their HEA, I did hear a whisper that we might have one more book left to tell.. in the form of Jack Dandy. Now, I am sure just about everyone would look forward to hearing his story and maybe, a happy ending?

Claire's life at MIT starts to become a little out of control, she might start to reconsider leaving her friends, her boyfriend and Morganville after all.

This installment felt like a breath of fresh air when we see Claire in a new environment, a place outside of vampires and into a life she has always thought she wanted. But she may discover what she thought she wanted, and what is true could be two very different things.
But her life back in Morganville is not always lost on her when someone from her not so distant past comes along, keeping an eye on her.
This novel is full of adventure, excitement and realizations that your home will always be where your heart is.
We also get to see how things are going back in Morganville with our multiple POVs that continue in this book.

By the end of this, you can feel things might be starting to wrap up for an ending that I can see just on the horizon.

Rachel Caine has surprised me time and time again, and I look forward to the next novel.

We are back in Nikki, Mace and Raven's world as Nikki has to make some tough choices, choose who she wants to be, and who she wants to be with (I personally think the choice was evident since the beginning) and do what it takes to become the person she needs to be in these trying times.

This was a great end to the series (though I am hearing whispers about a possible fourth book? Maybe focusing on Raven given the ending) that ties up the relationship between Nikki, Mace and Raven. It ties up things that you had wondered about.
It was with her faith and love (but in different ways) for both boys that gave her the strength to grow into the person she was determined to become as she goes on her final mission.

Heather did a great job at ending this trilogy and I was definitely happy about the outcome. I have loved all these characters, the main three especially. It pulled at my heart strings at some moments between Mace and Nikki, and Raven and Nikki. But sometimes being on the losing side of a triangle isn't always a losing battle, sometimes it makes you grow and change so that person has the ability to find happiness elsewhere. Sometimes it is going through that experience of love and loss is what prepares you and makes you believe again.

Nikki was an amazing lead character for this series. She was young and lost in the beginning,  things changed quickly when she met this group of guys who, in the end, changed her life and made her stronger and more alive than ever before.

If there will be a spinoff, I'd definitely check it out. But if not.. that's fine for me too, since the ending was a satisfying one, but leaves things open for more exploration.

After the two of them form an unlikely alliance they discover a plague lurking around, which was a deadly virus named Red Lung that wiped out so much of humanity long ago, and their sire just might be the one person who knows the cure. That is if they are able to get to him in time before Lethal, Sarren does more damage than he has already.

As they go from place to place, they are forced to control certain things from Allie's past and when they run into the most unlikiest person they just might discover there is hope yet for them all.
The race is on and if they don't rescue Kanin soon; they might not have anyone to rescue.

In this book, Allison becomes so much stronger and embraces her vampire side where in the previous installment that was something she kept hidden or refused to think existed. But when things come to light, Allison meets people from her past once again.. she'll have to make a choice that could end up costing her more than she ever imagined.

Love interest to Allie, Zeke makes a return and there was certain things about him and his family that get revealed which I don't see coming.  I am glad though, to have him more involved with the story than he was. I didn't want him to just be a love interest, because to be honest in the first book I didn't really get a feel for him or his relationship with Allison. But in this book.. Damn, I was downright shipping them.
He really comes to his own as a character and I was so thankful, because it wouldn't be Julie if any character was just put in just for one reason. They need things to do.

Jackal. Oh, how was it possible that I went from hating him in The Immortal Rules to adoring him in this novel? It seemed impossible, but you start to understand him a bit more than before. It was nice to see that he was not all bad that he appeared originally. I look foward to seeing more of him in the next book.

And last, but not least... my second favourite character... Kanin.  I don't know why, but from off the bat in The Immortal Rules, I really connected to this lonely and stubborn vampire. He clearly has issues, but he was a teacher and mentor to Allison. Give her life and a new understanding on vampires when she  became one. He gave her a home and lessons on how to survive on how she is now, and if it wasn't for him... she probably would not have lived this long.
Even though we didn't see as much of him as I would have liked, I thought what we did get was worth while and it meant something.
Kanin is someone who you can like and understand. He has been through so much in trying to find a cure over the years. I love his relationship he has with Allison.. he is not just her sire and mentor, but also her family. More than blood.

Of course we are left with one huge whopping cliffhanger that makes you... W.T.F. Yes. It will leave you hanging like nothing else.

I personally can't wait to see where Julie takes things in the next book in this series.. I do wonder though, is this a trilogy.. or will there be more books? Feels like it could be a trilogy though. Most series these days tend to be.

First, I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for giving me this chance to review this title in exchange for a honest review.

This wasn't what I had expected when I heard about this. It might be something a fanatic would love, but even I who loves Cassandra's works wasn't sure what the point of this was.
This was basically a bunch of authors going and repeating what the books were about, and commenting on the characters, plots and relationships.
Sure, there was some funny parts, and essays on certain relationships and characters, but as a whole.. it was kind of boring, and I wasn't sure what the point was, as it didn't reveal any new information.

I am sure some others would love this book just to read what other authors comments on the characters are, but for me.. I guess I was a tad disappointed it wasn't more than it was.

First off, I would like to thank Delacorte Press and Netgalley for giving me this opportunity to review this book for an honest review.

I was so happy when I discovered that Lara was continuing this series, although I wasn't sure how things would go as she was skipping twenty years from the last novel. It sure was a gutsy move, but I can say for sure that it paid off.
Not only do we see our old and favourite characters, but we also get introduced to a new generation of breed and breedmates. I am excited to see where things will go from here.

Many of us originally had wondered who would be Mira's love interest for this book, because all we knew  all year was that she was getting her own story, usually we discover the male first. I hoped upon hope that it would be who I felt it should be. I had hoped that I wasn't seeing things and there was foreshadowing in 'Darker Midnight' between these two characters.
When Lara answered that very important question and we found out that her love interest would be none other than Kellan, I could not have been any more happier than I was. I was glad my instincts were correct, and I could not wait to dig into their story.

I absolutely loved the history that Lara brought to this new generation. She has added our old favorites with a little extra, as they deal with the fallout of Lucan's announcement twenty years prior that changed everything, and for breed and humans alike.
We soon learn that Mira, while in charge of her own team within the order, is still haunted from a personal loss that she carries with her every day. Someone close to her that is now lost to her forever that has changed her, and she'll do anything possible to get those responsible for the tragedy.
She might have her friends and family around her, but there would always be a hole inside her heart that can't be repaired, as to her, something will always be missing.

Kellan has never had the greatest childhood, but his friendship, and relationship with Mira was something that change him for the better. If it wasn't for her, he probably wouldn't have survived as long as he did. The tragedy that took so much away from him has taken it's toll on the child boy when as a child. But years later, Kellan will be forced to do something drastic in hope to change for something happening.
After he left nine years prior, Kellan never thought he would see Mira again, but as the fates would have it, that would not the plan. Their paths soon cross and you begin to understand the hurt stuck between them, the longing, and the love still constant when they are both in the same room together.
Is it possible for two people who have been there for one another through so much be able to repair the damage that occurred years earlier? Can something be repaired when it felt like it was very much broken in pieces?

There are no words to describe how much I loved this book. Not only for Mira and Kellan. But for Nathan, their childhood friend, who I suspected is book is next on the agenda. (Crave the Night, is what its called), and also for the new generation of breed that we have come to know and adore during the course of this story. The kids are grown up and are coming into their own as individuals and warriors, and I am sure they will make their parents proud at who they are becoming.

We also get into the thoughts of come of our favourites, such as Lucan, who is as big of a presence was he was during the last ten books of this series. I look forward to seeing what the others have been up to.

If this is what we have to look forward to from this point on, then I say BRING IT ON!

I would like to thank Pan Macmillan for giving me this chance to review this book. I admit, I never had heard of this author before, so I was going into this book blindsided and didn't know what to expect. 

I was interested and intrigued by the plot that I was willing to give this a shot.

I was not disappointed, that is for sure.

The world that Jaclyn brings you into is breathtaking. Think about two sides of a world. One where you live in reality. Another... where there is a magical land full of possibilities.... something that sounds like from a book, or a movie. Nothing you ever thought or even dreamed would be real.

But guess what? It is.

In this book, we witness the impossible. Two people from different worlds find a way to connect and communicate to one another.

Madeline and Elliot are young teenagers who discover one another by accident. There is a corner in which there is a tear between both worlds. Not enough to walk through, but only enough to be able to send letters to one another. A form of communication that is prominent throughout the entire book, and my favourite part of the novel.
I love the way, even though they go on with their lives,  they still have one another and their interesting friendship.

I found Jaclyn's writing interesting, yet compelling. I haven't read anything like this book in quite a while. Its very unique. The story-telling was amazing, with real characters with heartbreaking choices and decisions ahead of them.
While this is the first book in a series, I could see this being a stand alone as well, but I was glad to see there is more coming, because I can't wait to see what else is in store for Madeline and Elliot. 

I have many hopes for these two and their unique friendship.

We follow their lives, as they battle different family things and friendships. Hardships and heartbreaks. But what keeps them in check in the connection they have with one another.
This is the story of Madeline and Elliot... and the crack in between their worlds.

Oh, and yes... different colours...that aren't what we might think they are.

I admit, Glow didn't blow me out of the water. I wasn't even sure I would want to read Spark, but since I was given this book to review from the publisher, I decided I had nothing to lose and would check it out. 

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I did enjoy this book. I would say, definitely more than the first. I had no expectations going on, and so what I got out of it was quite a surprise.
I do like the format, Amy does with this series with each chapter an alternating point of view, in each of the three main characters POVs.

Keiran can be a pain in the butt at times, and there are times where I wanted to knock some sense into him and smack him, but then, I also think he is also a teenager and is trying to do what he thinks is best, and that doesn't always come across well to others.
Seth, is someone who I continue to like... but he hasn't had it easy and the fact that he and Keiran don't get along doesn't help matters.
Waverly, for someone so young hasn't had it easy, and it doesn't help that she gets the blame for not bringing their parents back.
The others didn't understand, because they weren't there, and have no way of understanding what happened, nor what it took for her to leave the parents and she couldn't do anything about it.

When more danger starts to occur upon their ship, people start to get scared and wonder who they can really trust. Each of the characters have their role to play in this book, and the consequences that transpire turn the heads upside down.

It's interesting where there is a world where technology has cleared all humanity of any pain or emotion, and it has been working for them fine, until Zoe starts to 'glitch' out of nowhere and she has no idea what is happening or where it has been coming from.
She then starts to feel things and have her own thoughts, which is not something she is used to. When she discovers she isn't the only one this has been happening to... that's when the story really starts.

I really liked Zoe as a character. I felt she was relatable. Glitching isn't something she is proud of, nor does she understand all of what is happening to her..
And then there is hottie, Adrien. He is someone who knows more than she does about what is happening to her, but she isn't sure she can trust him, especially since her new boyfriend, another glitcher tries to get her to trust him instead. But does he has ulterior motives?

Heather builds such a great story that you can't help but feel compelled reading about the world Zoe and her friends live in. It's not a normal one, but it is one that has been normal for the for such a long period of time and they know no different.

I look forward to see what is next for Zoe and Adrien, especially with the way, Glitch ends. It sure makes things a little more interesting, and I can't wait to see things play out.

I just might have enjoyed this one much more than the first. I loved Winter's Shadow for many reasons, with the most being that it explored the relationship between Winter and Blake. But this book I loved for different reasons. I loved that we saw more of the past and how it related to Winter and to Blake. 

It only just made me miss Blake so much. Winter and I both lived on through her memories of him and the hope that he is still somehow alive in  The Dead Lands, which means there would be a way to get him back to her.

Winter soon has to decide who she can trust and whether she would be willing to follow with something even if in her heart she knows is wrong -- all in the name of love.

She becomes a stronger, independant woman in this novel. When she has a mission in mind, she'll do all she needs to go through with it.
A an old character from Winter's Shadow also makes a re-appearance in the name of Sam. Remember him? After the events that happened in the previous book, Sam finds himself on the run to the point where he can't run anymore. He comes back to town and saves Winter which pretty much puts her in debt to him, which is not something she liked considering she didn't trust him.
I really adored him in this story. He and Winter find themselves on the same side this time around and while Winter can't trust him at first, she soon finds herself in this unlikely friendship.

Winter, Sam and Winter's best friend, Jasmine find themselves on a journey to a place that will change their lives forever. They find themselves travelling to Paris where Winter has a task to achieve to attempt to rescue her love, Blake. During this trip, nothing is as easy and simple as she thought it would be.

M.J. Hearle such does an amazing job with this sequel, where the story only gets even more intriguing and captivating than ever before. And guess what? There is one heck of a cliffhanger. Who would have thought, eh? LOL

I can't believe we have to wait until 2013 for book 3. How will I ever survive?

I admit, I had a hard time trying to get through this book. I don't know what it was, I can't really explain it. For the first few chapters I felt like something was putting me to sleep and I couldn't bare to move forward. The pace was slow and nothing was really happening, but I knew I had to stick to it and I did.
It was a hundred or so pages inward that things did start to pick up and get interesting. That was when the plot and story started to happen. Where things begun to make sense and you understood the premise of the story which you had read about in the description for the novel.

The story soon transformed into something I didn't expect. It was captivating and fulfilled those promises in which we came to expect from this book.
Robin Wasserman did a great job in building this story and the world she created. It might have started off slow and took a little while to get going, but once it did it changed into something you couldn't put down. There was twists and turns so shocking that you just had to see what is going to happen next.

I really liked each of the characters in this book. I think my favourites were Nora and Chris, and Max for a time even if he acts a little creepy at times.
But by the end of the book, you will start to wonder whether you really knew certain characters at all. There are certainly things you don't see coming, but it doesn't take away from the story at all. If anything, it just only adds to it.

If you are looking for a book of mystery, and a little dark. That is full of intrigue, romance with dead-set shockers that will leave you gasping for more, then this book is for you.

The story starts off with a human, also known as a 'Heper' Gene and he describes the world he currently lives in and the fact for years he has done everything he could possibly do to be able to fit in with everyone else. And by "everyone else" I mean vampires.
They basically have taken over the world, and it's rare to find any Hepers left. They are pretty much extinct, and if they are found they are either killed for their blood which is intoxicating to vampires, or kept for THE HUNT, which is a big race, or hunt you might say in which the vampires would hunt down the hepers.

When Gene gets chosen to be one of the few to be a hunter he couldn't have been more shocked. "Stay under the radar," his father used to always tell him, because that way they would not take any notice of you and look too closely. And when they look too closely they can discover just what he really is, and that certainly is not one of them which he has led everyone to believe for as long as he can remember.

As he prepares for the hunt, in which they have four days to train and prepare for what they must do. He isn't alone as he thought he was. Gene soon discovers that he isn't the only human/heper out there, and once he realizes this... he will need to decide what he will do. Will he continue to play along and pretend he is one of the vampires, or will he embrace just what he really is and try to stop the hunt from happening?
A surprising romance, new discoveries and shocking revelations. This novel contains it all.

I was surprised just how good this book turned out to be. You get so many vampire and dystopian novels out in the world today, that you have to start to wonder whether there can be a unique story that you haven't heard before.  The answer is that there is, and this is a prime example of it.
While things started out slow in the beginning, but I knew a lot of books tend to be that way to be able to set up the plot and characters. 
Soon enough, this story came to life and it's impossible not to become hooked by it. Andrew makes you believe, and feel you are right there with Gene as he battles his emotional fears and revelations. He makes you live every moment with him as Gene travels through this journey.

I really liked the romance between Gene... and the girl whom he is in love with. I felt their history, and the chemistry between them.
Gene also makes new friends along the way in this story, and I feel by the end of the book he is a much stronger character than he was(not to say he wasn't) in the beginning.

I look forward to the next book, which seems so far away right now. I absolutely recommend this book to those who love vampires and a dystopian world.
